And just like that a year is gone. Ever notice that? How fast time passes? My dad always said "Wait until you get older Lea, it'll fly by." He wasn't kidding. The first year of Girls for God is complete. It was an amazing year. A life changing year for all of us.
I wanted to know what the girls were taking away from the year, what they had learned, how they had changed. The one thing they kept repeating was they had learned how to pray and what it meant to have a real quiet time with God. Amen!
That's been my biggest message this year! It's just so important-and so many of us are missing it. One of my favorite sayings is "He's not Santa Claus girls." You don't just pray to him with your wish list, cross your fingers and hope you get lucky! There's SO MUCH more than that. So much more.
Our Creator has so much he wants to teach us! He has an actual plan for each of our lives. A pretty amazing one at that. He's not trying to hide it from us! But, you have to seek him to find it.
The problem is how can God ever speak to any of us if we're not praying sincerely to him? If we're not reading his word? If we're not sitting still and listening to what he wants to tell us? That means no cell phones, no computers, no TV-just a true time with God. You, Him and your Bible.
If you can bring that into your life...He'll change it. Promise.
Lea :)
